The Beginning
A Channel is Born 🌱
IndiaLiveChat started as a small IRC channel hosted on a public IRC network. A small group of passionate Indians — mostly students and NRIs missing home — created the channel to stay connected with Indian culture, discuss Bollywood, cricket, and everyday Indian life. The channel quickly gained a devoted following.

Recognizing the need for an easier way to access our chat rooms, we launched IndiaLiveChat.com with a web-based chat interface. This dramatically lowered the barrier to entry — no IRC client needed, just a browser. User numbers multiplied within months of the website launch, drawing users from India, UK, USA, Canada, Australia, and the Gulf.
